Inspired by dance as a form of therapy and understanding the rich history of the club as a safe space for queer commune, 2018 SPACE Artist-in-Residence Amy Reid will host a queer dance party. She will also DJ the evening bringing some Baltimore vibes to Portland. Merging two worlds together, the evening will also feature local DJs and performers. In Baltimore, she has a monthly DJ residency at a night club and co-organizes unforgettable bi-monthly drag shows pushing the boundaries of gender norms and stereotypes. Attendees can aspect a night full of high energy, good vibes, and some Baltimore flavor.
Amy Reid is a Baltimore-based solo producer, sound artist, DJ and performing electronic musician.
